Worst Day Yet For Covid 19 Cases In Record Single Day Total In Spain S Valencian Community

A NEW daily record for coronavirus infections in the Valencian Community was announced today(November 10) with news of 2,341 positive tests over the last 24 hours.

39 people have died across the region, although Health Minister, Ana Barcelo, pointed out that all of those fatalities were not just in one day.

15 of the deaths were in nursing homes.

Ana Barcelo said: “The most important thing that we can take from these figures is that people have to follow all of the restrictions to keep new cases down.”

1,522 people are in hospitals across the Valencian Community with 241 patients in intensive care.

“A quarter of hospital patients are suffering from COVID-19 and we have spare capacity to put in an extra 300 ITU beds,” Barcelo added,

70 per cent of outbreaks are caused through socialising and 41.2 per cent of those cases are hitting people aged between between 35 and 64 years, with 18.9 per cent being the figure for those aged over 64.
