WATCH: Inside the crime spree of a team of highly-skilled Ocean’s Eleven-style bank robbers who hit small town lenders across Spain

A SIX-strong gang of highly organised bank robbers has been brought down in Madrid after the group launched crime spree across Spain.

The Guardia Civil have dismantled the gang, who specialised in high-speed heists using high-powered vehicles and specialised tools.

The investigation began in October 2025 following a spike in high-end vehicle thefts across the Madrid region.

Officers discovered the gang replaced number plates with forged ones before using the cars to raid banks.

Investigators linked the group to robberies in Cardeñadijo, Montemayor de Pinilla, Barrax, La Puebla del Salvador, El Torrico, and Casarrubios del Monte.

The gang reportedly hid their getaway cars on a plot of farmland in the Chinchon valley.

The thieves would travel to small Spanish towns in the early hours to disable security measures by cutting wires or using frequency jammers.

They used hydraulic pliers and thermal lances to remove safes before loading them into vehicles and fleeing.

On one occasion, the gang managed to steal more than €140,000 in a single night.
