TWO people died in a mass shooting in Almeria on Monday night, with four others seriously injured- including the assailant’s young baby boy.
The tragedy unfolded in El Canalillo within the El Ejido municipality, with emergency services receiving calls about gunshots being fired at around 11.15pm.
The two deceased people were the shooter’s parents, with their bodies discovered inside a car.

The 25-year-old male Spaniard then fled but was tracked down and arrested by the Guardia Civil which is leading the investigation.
He was taken to an undisclosed medical facility where he is being evaluated at a mental health unit.
The Policia Nacional, Policia Local, and Guardia Civil went to the scene after the initial emergency calls, along with paramedics.
Besides the two fatalities, four other people, including two children were seriously injured.
The Guardia said that one of the injured children is the assailant’s seven-month-old son.
The baby is in a critical condition- having been admitted to the paediatric ICU at the Torrecardenas Hospital in Almeria.
The other young victim was a two-year-old girl.
The two other people that were shot and taken to hospital were a woman and a 60-year-old man.
One of the injured adults was admitted to the Poniente University Hospital in El Ejido, while the other was transferred to Torrecardenas Hospital.
