THE eldest son of Mango founder Isak Andic has appeared in a Barcelona court after being charged with the murder of his billionaire father.
Jonathan Andic, 43, appeared at the Martorell court at 12:45pm on 19 May, hours after being arrested by Mossos d’Esquadra earlier that morning.

The court ordered his imprisonment, set bail at €1 million, and confiscated his passport following his testimony before the judge.
Reports later indicated that he had paid bail to avoid being held in custody.
He is charged with the murder of his father, fashion mogul Isak Andic.
Isak Andic, 71, died in December 2024 while hiking with Jonathan in his home region of Catalonia, after falling around 150 metres down a slope near the Collbato caves in the Montserrat mountain range.
His death was initially treated as an accident, with Mossos d’Esquadra stating at the time that there was no indication of foul play.
That assessment changed after investigators said inconsistencies emerged between Jonathan’s statements and forensic evidence gathered at the scene.
Jonathan Andic, a Mango board member and heir to his father’s estimated €4 billion fortune, has since come under formal investigation.
Officers also interviewed Isak Andic’s partner, former professional golfer EstefanÃa Knuth, as part of the inquiry.
The relationship between Isak Andic and Knuth reportedly caused tensions within the family.
In September 2025, investigators questioned Jonathan after he left Mango’s headquarters and asked him to surrender his mobile phone for analysis of calls, messages, and data linked to his father’s death.
A formal investigation was opened the following month.
Police have also examined whether any data was deleted or whether Jonathan switched devices after allegedly losing his previous phone in March of the previous year.
A family spokesperson said Jonathan was being questioned in connection with his father’s death, adding: “The cooperation with police has been, and will remain, total.”
They added that the family are certain that “This process will be concluded as soon as possible and that it will prove Jonathan Andic’s innocence.
