Costa Blanca 'Good Samaritan' is kidnapped by house guests but escapes after being thrown 'bound and gagged' into car boot

A 33-YEAR-OLD Czech woman went through a two-day kidnapping and sexual assault ordeal after letting a homeless couple- also from the Czech Republic- stay in her Guardamar del Segura property.

She was forced to make bank transfers and the man, 30, and the woman, 22, also made illegal card withdrawals and purchases totalling over €24,000.

The victim was then bound and gagged, and placed into a car boot, but she managed to escape close to a McDonalds restaurant in Petrer- after a 70 kms journey.

MCDONALDS, PETRER WITH SERVICE STATION AROUND THE BACK

The kidnappers were arrested by the Policia Nacional some 100 kms north in the Valencia province town of Jalence.

The couple appeared before a Torrevieja court and were remanded into custody.

The bizarre set of circumstances were triggered by an online advert placed by the victim on behalf of her partner who was looking to rent out a room in his Alicante property.

The woman was contacted by the Czechs but said they could not fill the vacancy because he did not want a couple.

She took pity on her fellow nationals and offered them temporary accommodation at her Guardamar home while they looked for something permanent.

The owner went to the Czech Republic for 10 days while the couple stayed there, but the problems started when she returned.

The couple tied her hands and feet before sexually assaulting her.

They then forced her to make bank transfers from her account as she was held captive for two days.

On May 19, she was dumped into the boot of her own car which they drove to Petrer.

It had a brief stop at a petrol station in the town before the kidnappers decided they wanted to order a meal from a nearby McDonalds.

SERVICE STATION ‘REFUGE’, PETRER

But the car owner knew that the boot’s locking system was faulty and she made her escape, running to the petrol station, with the couple speeding off as a result.

Several people phoned the police to report a handcuffed woman getting out of the boot and taking refuge.

The Policia Nacional arrived to find her hiding in the service station’s bathrooms and in a state of shock.

Her hands had been tied with rope and a sock had been stuffed in her mouth, with masking tape over it to prevent her from shouting out.

She provided details of her stolen car and the Guardia Civil pulled it over in Jalence, resulting in the couple’s arrest.

Inside they found a kitchen knife plus rope and tape used to restrain the victim plus €4,286 in cash which had been fraudulently obtained.

Several mobile phones- including two bought that same day- with a total value of €3,057 were also discovered.
