A HOT police chase ended in a terrifying car crash on the Costa del Sol after a gang of thieves violently ripped a gold chain from a Belgian tourist.
Three suspects were arrested in Torremolinos after police rammed their car off the road, with several officers reportedly injured in the smash-up on Tuesday.
The tourist was targeted in Mijas, where the gang allegedly snatched her chain before stealing a high-end Audi at gunpoint from a woman nearby.
Police quickly launched a pursuit at around 6.40pm as the car joined the A-7 motorway, heading towards Torremolinos.

The chase ended when officers sent the thieves’ getaway car careering off the road, bringing the vehicle to a halt in a terrifying smash-up.
The suspects were ultimately detained in connection with the robbery and subsequent getaway.
They are now being investigated over the alleged theft, use of the stolen vehicle and the events that followed during the police pursuit.
