Jon Clarke (Publisher & Editor)THE SPANISH government has finalized construction plans for the Almeria-Murcia high-speed rail link.
Once onstream, the residents of Andalucia’s easternnmost province will be only three and a quarter hours away from Madrid and four hours away from Barcelona.
The start-up date is yet to be finalized but four of the five AVE sections in Almeria are already under construction.
Construction bids for the remaining section will be solicited by the end of December.
The Almeria-Murcia link has a budget of 2.5 billion euros.
