Mixed times for Messi

BARCELONA star Lionel Messi has enjoyed mixed fortunes of late.

The 23-year-old Argentinean has been named as one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine.

Messi appears alongside world leaders including Barack Obama and David Cameron, although Spanish Prime Minister Jose Zapatero is absent.

However, in an unrelated incident, the FIFA World Player of the Year’s family home in Rosario, Argentina, was left riddled with bullets by a gunman who fled on a motorbike.
