THE small Alpujarran town of Cadiar is set to celebrate the XXXI Festival of Traditional Music with some 25 musical groups, many coming from the next-door province of Almeria.
The festival, sponsored by the Granada and Almeria county councils, will be honouring two of the town’s most famous ‘exports’, Al-Cadi, a traditional group that plays Alpujarran music and the local winery Bodega Barranco Oscuro.
There will also be an artisan and local produce fair at the event held on August 12.
