PARENTS are being urged to be wary of cheap produce this Christmas after five dangerous toys were taken off the market.

Following inspections carried out by the Junta in 50 shops across Granada province, the removed items were found to either be easily inflammable or contain small parts which could choke children.

Meanwhile Spain’s Consumer Institute has warned shoppers to be extra careful with cheap toys, decorations and fancy dress items this Christmas.

  1. This is a rather odd story. From my personal experience, ALL the shops around here get their goods from China. Its all terrible rubbish, fagile and inferiour in everyway, and made of materials i havent seen for years.
And no one cares. Theres no ‘kite mark’ or quality control. Oh yes there’s a few ‘eu’ stickers (also made in china), clearly put there by the makers.

And the latest money-grabbing con: lots of shops are refusing to honour guarantees! (too expensive to return crap to china).
Maybe a story on that OP ??
