GAME of Thrones is set to film parts of season six in Spain, HBO network announced today.
The cities of Girona and Peniscola were named as the main venues for filming.
Girona is a province on the west coast near the France border and Peniscola is in Castellon in the Valencian community.
The fifth season showcased Osuna and Sevilla, and Sevilla reported a 15% increase in tourism as a result.
Casting for extras saw thousands of Spaniards apply to be part of the show in the last season.
