Fire truck sculpture wins Algeciras annual can sculpting competition

A FIRE truck, MotoGP bike and a wedding cake were just three sculptures on display at the annual Algeciras can sculpting competition… In fact, they were the top three.

Taking home the top gong and €150, judges applauded Mari Paz’s attention to detail when constructing her fire truck. With ladder, hose, lights and moving levers, it was Paz’s ability to incorporate moving parts which led to her success.

In second place Peter Verdaguer used different sized cans to create a model MotoGP bike, while making up the rostrum was Miguel Angel Moreno for his wedding cake.
