AN iconic Marbella hotel is set for a €70-million renovation after being closed for over 10 years.
The Hotel Don Miguel is due to reopen in 2019 after investors, who bought the abandoned property in 2013 under the name Magna Hotels & Resorts, reached a deal with top French all-inclusive operator, Club Med.
A VIP ceremony in April will mark the beginning of the refurbishment which will create some 300 new jobs.
The reopening will mark Club Med’s return to Spain.
