Rock climber falls to his death in Spain’s Cordoba

A ROCK climber has fallen to his death in Cordoba.

The 51-year-old died yesterday while climbing in the mountainous La Algaida area in Carcabuey.

Emergency hotline 112 received a call at around noon to report that a man had fallen some two metres while climbing.

He is believed to have landed on a large boulder.

The people who made the call said they were attempting to perform CPR on the man.

A medical team managed to reach the mountain peak to continue CPR however they could not revive the climber.

He was announced dead at the scene.

His nationality has not been revealed.
