Since the last figures were announced on Saturday, the latest set of data shows 17 positive cases of Coronavirus across three towns in the Vega Baja area.

Ten positive results were registered in Orihuela where two more outbreaks were recorded, one with four positive cases, the other with six.

Pilar de la Horadada has four infections in one grouping.

The last is Benijofar, where a grouping of three people is also infected.

All of the infections are from ‘social origin’, not one of the 17 cases originate from the workplace or from school, now that children have returned.

The Olive Press reported that nearby Ciudad Quesada recorded its first outbreak of COVID-19 on September 3.
