Homophobic Slogans Painted On Rainbow Benches In Spain S Costa Blanca

BIGOTS in Pilar de la Horadada have smeared homophobic graffiti on rainbow-coloured benches erected in the summer.

Pilar’s council had installed the benches to celebrate June’s World Pride Day as an acknowledgement of local LGTBQ residents.

Two benches had homophobic slogans daubed on them with the words ‘Gays Out’.

The Policia Local is looking for the perpetrators.

In a statement, Pilar council said: “ We will continue to fight to stop this type of violent behaviour with the goal of continuing to build a society that is more tolerant of diversity.”

The benches are now being restored to their original rainbow state.
