A COSTA BLANCA farmer faces a big fine after hosting an illegal party at his El Campello finca.
The man had been previously sanctioned for staging events without any authorisation.
The COVID-19 rule-breaking event looked to attract up to 200 people over two days with tickets costing up to €50.
Guardia Civil agents raided the site after learning abouyt the party via social media.
They contacted the farmer last week who refused to cooperate with them, and so agents visited the site on Sunday.
Around 30 cars were parked up at the finca and the Guardia sanctioned 89 partygoers who had travelled from as far away as Almeria and Murcia.
Most of them had been there since Saturday and planned to stay through to the Bank Holiday Monday.
