Dangerous 'devil hitman' from Colombia 'who excelled in kidnap, torture and making people disappear' is arrested on Spain's Costa Blanca
Fugitive detained in Denia

A COLOMBIAN hitman- nicknamed Juan Diablo- has been arrested on the Costa Blanca.

The fugitive is a key figure in the Los Lobos criminal gang operating in Valle del Cauca in Columbia.

He was detained in Denia by the Policia Nacional after information from Interpol that he could be hiding out in Spain.

In view of the ‘dangerous and violent profile of the fugitive’, the Policia Nacional said that urgent steps were taken to locate his address to carry out his arrest.

The man was involved in ordering and committing kidnappings, extortion, torture, and the disappearance of several people in his native country.

Columbian authorities are seeking a 42-year prison sentence once he is returned to them.

The fugitive has been handed over to the custody of the National Court in Madrid who will process his extradition.
