A SOUTH Korean tourist has been stabbed in the ankle while taking photos at a viewpoint of Spain’s world famous Alhambra World Heritage Site.
Policia Nacional officers arrested a 38-year-old Spanish woman at the mirador in the historic Albaicin district of Granada. She reportedly has nearly 40 prior arrests.
The incident unfolded at 11.30am at one of the neighbourhood’s most popular viewpoints overlooking the Alhambra.
Police sources said the victim visited the city with her husband and was sitting on a low wall, capturing photos of the monument.

An unknown woman, who had been near the couple, suddenly approached and allegedly stabbed the tourist in the ankle before calmly walking away.
The attacker reportedly said nothing and showed no apparent motive.
The emergency control room alerted the police and a nearby patrol unit quickly dispatched to the scene.
Officers found the injured woman with a blood-soaked bandage wrapped around her right ankle.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment of not life-threatening injuries.
Officers gathered key evidence at the scene, including the suspect’s identity and a photograph taken from behind as she fled.
The following day, at 7pm, the same police unit located the alleged attacker in a nearby square within the Albaicin.
