BENIDORM police are trying to find the custodian of an urn containing human ashes which was left in a city supermarket.
The surprise discovery was made by the shop’s manager on Monday after she was checking lockers used by shoppers to store belongings.
The worker then contacted the police to report the unusual find.

Benidorm Policia Local spokesperson, Quique Tortosa, said that officers are trying to find relatives linked to the ashes.
He added that so far they have not been able to locate anybody.
The force has released an image of the urn and asked for help from the public to find its owners to be able to return the ashes to them.
Anybody with any information is asked to contact the police.
If the appeal proves to be fruitless, the Policia Local plans to transfer the urn into the safe-keeping of the municipal cemetery.
