A MAN has been arrested over a murder that took place six years ago in Coin, Malaga, after a skull was found hidden in a bag down a manhole.
The investigation into the 59-year-old’s disappearance started in June last year, after two workers from Alhaurin de la Torre made the macabre discovery.
Investigators carried out DNA tests on the remains and identified it as local man Francisco Jose Aguera, who had disappeared in 2020.

This breakthrough led them to identify a possible suspect among one of the victim’s acquaintances.
Last Tuesday, the suspected killer was arrested.
Under questioning he confessed that he had committed the murder in Aguera’a own house and then dismembered the body.
He then confessed to hiding the remains in different points around Alhaurin de la Torre, leading police officers to some of the locations last week.
