A GERMAN fugitive has been arrested by the Policia Nacional in Velez-Malaga for sexually exploiting children and producing child pornography.
The 39-year-old man was detained on a European Arrest Warrant issued by Germany.
He was found on Tuesday with the police saying he was trying to live under the radar in Spain.

The man’s home was a shack and he made money by doing maintenance work.
Investigations were launched following cooperation between Spanish and German police about the fugitive’s possible presence on the Costa del Sol.
Officers then carried out various inquiries which confirmed the suspect was in the Axarquia region.
An operation code-named ‘Escapes’ sprung into action to pin-point where he lived and to detain him.
The police said he chose a secluded location on the Velez-Malaga coast to maintain a low profile to avoid being tracked down by authorities.
According to the arrest warrant, the offences were allegedly committed between September 2021 and January 2022 in Germany.
He had contacted a 13-year-old girl via a website where they had conversations of a sexual nature, leading to pornographic video calls.
The offences escalated when he had sex with the young teen in a Leipzig boarding house.
The man is now in the custody of the National Court in Madrid which processes extradition requests.
