SHE is famous for turning heads to her multi-million dollar interior design projects.Â
Now American reality TV star Kat Von D has done it in euros!
The celebrated tattoo artist – whose blood-red Los Angeles pool went viral in 2022 – has renovated a traditional Catalan farmhouse with almost 1,000 years of history.
Can Bertran dels Àngels, a fortified masia near Girona with roots stretching back to 1325, has just gone on the market for €1.95 million.

When Von D found it in 2018 it had been abandoned for decades; no roof, no doors, no electricity, and its original stonework long since looted.
What followed was a stunning restoration as theatrical as its owner.
The kitchen features pointed Gothic arches, carved tracery, stained glass rosettes and a blood-red La Cornue oven. Fan vaults cover the living room ceiling.
Even the bathroom tiles are blood-red.
Von D teased the project to her 9.4 million Instagram followers in a series of posts, tagging them #castlevond and showing off sweeping views of the protected Forest surroundings.
The property spans 670 square metres across two floors, with four bedrooms, a library, a dressing room and an infinity pool gazing out over the Gavarres massif. Its 35 hectares of protected woodland sit within the Gavarres natural park, roughly 35 kilometres from Girona and 20 from the Costa Brava.
It has potential for residential, hotel and rural tourism use and is listed through specialist estate agency Cottage Properties.
For those with a taste for the macabre, it may be the most extraordinary masia on the market.
