Court hears Durcal “happy slapping” claims
December 4, 2006 • Granada • 0 Comments
JUDGES in Granada are investigating the first case of “happy slapping” in Granada province after a girl claimed to have been filmed as she was attacked.
Four teenager girls allegedly used either a digital camera or a mobile phone to film the assault in the Lecrin Valley town of Durcal on October 10 this year.
The court heard how the 18-year-old victim was approached in the town’s central square and beaten. She claims her attackers filmed the assault “because it was funny.”
The court is also investigating if the video has been made available on the internet.
