Ski season starts on December 1
November 26, 2007 • Granada • 0 Comments
HEAVY snowfall on the Sierra Nevada mountain range has resulted in an early start to the ski season.
Pistes at Europe’s most southerly ski resort will now open on December 1 after 15 centimetres of snow fell in a single day.
The snowfall and cold temperatures supplement the 120 snow cannons that have been in use in recent weeks.
At the time of going to press, the exact amount of kilometres of piste open to skiers is not known.
