Ikea to open in Granada

by

HOMES in Granada look set for a furniture revolution after plans were passed for an Ikea store.

Officials from the Pulianas town hall voted in favour for a huge scale commercial centre on land next to the existing Kineapolis complex.

On 293,000 square metres of land, the Medianas Commercial Centre will not only include the Swedish home furnishing store, but bargain clothes shop H&M and computer retailer PC City. There will also be premises for more than 100 other shops and restaurants as well as parking for 2,000 cars.

“This will be the biggest shopping area in eastern Andalucía,” mayor Rafael Gil Bracero said.

  1. not that I am aware of from my visit to Media Markt back in June
and unless you have a car Pulianas shopping is not that easy to get to, the bus journey is fine from city centre but then it is the only bus and its 15-20 min walk to the shopping centre
does anyone have any idea when it will start and if the bus service will be improved???
