GRIM: Blood was apparently still on the overhead lockers before the plane took off again

TWO men have been arrested after a fight on a Ryanair flight from Glasgow to Tenerife saw blood sprayed across the cabin.

Police on the Spanish island escorted the pair off the plane on Saturday following a female flight attendant’s attempts to break up the brawl.

Fellow passenger Ben Wardrop filmed the scrap and posted the footage to his Twitter account.

The British holidaymaker said: “It all started over a woman not wearing her shoes on the flight going to the toilet.

“A very drunk man pulled her up about it, saying that someone would stand on her toes.

“Then the woman’s boyfriend stepped in and tried to defuse the situation.

“Once the plane landed and more alcohol was consumed the man and the woman’s boyfriend started arguing, both being very drunk they started to fight, and the man in the video with lots of blood was trying to get the man to calm down and he got hit on the nose.”

A picture showed blood on one of one of the plane’s overhead lockers before the flight set off back from Tenerife.

A Ryanair spokesperson said: “We will not tolerate unruly or disruptive behaviour at any time and the safety and comfort of our customers, crew and aircraft is our number one priority.”
