SPANISH twins Gonzalo and Alfonso have one of the most followed travel accounts on Tiktok.
The identical brothers keep their two million followers informed about the best destinations to visit in Spain and across the world.
In one of their hundreds of videos, the siblings recommend the best five towns to visit in the southernmost region of Andalucia.
The clip, which has more than 600,000 views, suggests food lovers stop at Priego de Cordoba.
Situated between Cordoba and Granada, the quaint town is widely regarded as having among the best extra virgin olive oil in the world, thanks to its centuries of harvesting the product.
It is also famous for its acorn-fed Jamon and a variety of local dishes you wouldn’t find elsewhere.
For nature lovers, the twins suggest the inland Malaga town of Antequera.
Antequera has been steeped in a rich and glorious history since the stone age, when ancient tribes roamed the area and built their famous burial sites – or dolmens – which are still a joy to visit and feature heavily in the twins’ video.
The wealth of history is quickly apparent on wandering around the easily manageable city with its orange-tree-lined streets and wide marble pavements.
Head in any direction and you will find a Baroque or Arabic gem.
Nijar, in Almeria and Frigiliana, in Malaga, are next on the twins’ travel guide.
Both are officially among the ‘most beautiful pueblos in Spain’ thanks to their white-washed homes and winding, cobbled streets.
Rounding off the list of must-visit locations are Ubeda and Baeza in Jaen.
Ubeda is known for its medieval charm and well-preserved Renaissance architecture.
The city’s historical monuments are its main attraction, offering visitors a glimpse into its rich past and cultural heritage and the views from the escarpment on which it stands give an excellent clue to its past wealth.
The town is literally surrounded by gently rolling hills dotted by neat rows of olive trees – millions of them – as far as the eye can see. Indeed the bearers of ‘green gold’ stretch as far as the mountains of the Cazorla, Segura and Las Villas Natural Park – where the Guadalquivir River that cuts Andalucía in two has its source – to the south and east.
Baeza offers similar attractions and much like Ubeda, is world renowned for its extra virgin olive oil.
