• STAR ATTRACTION: Arctic Monkeys are among a host of British acts coming to Spain this year |
SPANISH music fans will be spoilt for choice in 2012 with some of the UK’s top bands heading for Spain.
Arctic Monkeys kick things off with a show in Madrid on January 27 before appearing in Barcelona the following day.
The band are currently on a world tour following the release last year of their fourth studio album, Suck it and See.
March promises to be a busy month with former Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher touching down in Barcelona on March 4, while James Morrison also appears in Barcelona on March 24 and Madrid (March 25).
May 20 will see Coldplay return to Madrid to play the Vicente Calderon stadium, less than a year after kicking off their European tour in the city’s bullring.
Meanwhile, US rockers Red Hot Chili Peppers are the first band to be confirmed for the Rock in Rio Madrid festival to be held on July 7.
