THE tramway between Velez-Malaga and Torre del Mar will now stay open until further notice, despite the mayor saying it would shut on November 14 for economic reasons.
Mayor Francisco Delgado Bonilla said this was because there is not sufficient public transport cover to replace the tram.
It comes after Bonilla met Junta officials last month in the hope it would help the town hall keep Andalucia’s first tram open.
