ANDALUCIA’S high court has ruled in favour of Huelva city’s purchase of Matalascanas golf course.
The PSOE government bought the Almonte site in 2009, but the Administrative Court of Huelva cancelled the €7m purchase.
However, given that it is the municipality’s only golf course, the high court ruled that the government had intended to provide ‘a public service of municipal competence’ in purchasing it.
