โThe diagrams show it is very possible that a heat wave could start from Wednesday or Thursday. Other than the maximum temperatures, we are also keeping an eye on the minimum temperatures which will also be very high,โ reads the Tweet.
The sudden spike in temperatures comes as a blast of hot wind is set to sweep in from Africa.
Andalucia will be one of the regions most affected by the heat, along with the Balearic Islands, Castilla La Mancha, Extremadura and Madrid.
