WATCH: Water gushes through toilets and sinks at Costa Blanca hospital during gota fría storm

THIS is the moment a Costa Blanca hospital witnessed water gushing up through their toilets and sinks.

A nurse at the Hospital Vega Baja Orihuela posted the scenes around 9pm on Thursday night as the region was hit by an estimated 250 l/m² in just two hours.

The nurse, MV Almudena, said: “We’re soaked.”

It comes as the Costa Blanca was battered by a ‘red alert’ gota fría storm that began in the early hours of Thursday morning, according to Spain’s Met Office (AEMET).
