Police arrest man in Spain’s Malaga who impersonated 17-year-old boy to collect indecent images of children

POLICE in Malaga have arrested a man who impersonated a 17-year-old boy in order to collect indecent images of children.

The 46-year-old man created several fake profiles on social media, which he used to contact the youngsters aged between 11 and 13 years old.

INVESTIGATION: Police tracked the predator down to Malaga

The man was caught after one of the victims in Madrid informed police.

Investigations by police found that the man had contacted at least 7 minors.

They discovered that he initially tried to befriend the children on social media sites, before asking them for sexual videos of themselves. 

As part of the operation, police confiscated two hard drives, three telephones and five USB drives from the suspect’s house.
