British Man Arrested In Spain S Murcia Region For Setting Up Marijuana Farm At Rented Villa

A BRITISH man was arrested by the Guardia Civil for having a marijuana farm at a rental villa in the Murcia region.

The unnamed Brit set up his illegal indoor plantation at the 250 square metre property at Santo Angel, five kilometres south of Murcia City.

Agents removed several bags with large amounts of marijuana from the villa, with several rooms filled up by plants.

The property owner told authorities that he had rented out his villa for two years and knew nothing about the activities of the British tenant.

Electricity company workers accompanied Guardia agents on their raid to check if there was an illegal hook up to the power supply.

It’s not known how long the British national had been staying at the house.
