SPECIALIST Policia Nacional units have been involved in a major anti-terrorism operation in Spain which has so far yielded 10 arrests.
Raids on addresses were authorised by a National Court probe and were executed in Alicante, Barcelona, and Madrid provinces as well as the Murcia region.
There has been no breakdown as to where the arrests were made, though the investigation is still active with more detentions not being ruled out.

Dozens of police officers were involved in making Wednesday’s arrests.
The suspects- accused of promoting jihadist terrorism- were then transferred to the custody of the National Court in Madrid .
They are expected to appear before a judge this Friday
The Informacion newspaper reported that the Alicante province arrests involved several people from Eastern Europe, mainly from Chechnya.
They have been charged with terrorism and other crimes.
Detentions took place in Alicante City, Xixona, Torrevieja, and the Orihuela Costa.
In Calpe, Policia Nacional officers also discovered an illegal marijuana farm.
Eye-witnesses saw police enter a holiday rental flat in Alicante’s Playa de San Juan area and leave with a man under a hood.
The extensive operation was led by officers from the General Information Commissariat (CGI).
They were assisted by the Alicante Province Information Brigade, the Citizen Security Prevention and Reaction Unit (UPR), and an elite unit of the Special Operations Group (GEO), which made an arrest in Xixona.
No further details have been made public by the Policia Nacional.
