Possible prison for bent architect in Spain

AN architect is facing four years behind bars for property fraud.

Joaquin Palli sold two detached homes in Chiclana without revealing to the new owners that there was an order to halt construction and demolish the illegal buildings.

It comes after he allegedly acquired a rustic plot classified as non-buildable land in 2001 but began constructing two 70-square-metre houses without permission.

The town hall ordered the work to be stopped.

But the architect then issued fake documents claiming the houses had been built for over five years and sold them for 72,000 euros.
