THE mayor of Moron de la Frontera is being investigated for fraud for extending his house by 225 metres without getting a licence.
Manuel Morilla of the ruling conservative PP party built a large shack by the swimming pool of his villa on land listed as ‘protected’.
To make matters worse, when the illegal building was finally discovered last year, the politician didn’t even bother presenting a petition for its legalization.
Judges will now decide whether to demolish the illegal construction and what punishment Morilla should face.
When asked about the illegal house the mayor simply said: “I know nothing about any construction. I don’t understand any of that.”
“I know nothing about any construction. I don’t understand any of that.”
