Barcelona bans bikinis

STRIPPING down to a bikini could get pricey in Barcelona.

The city has introduced fines for those who venture too far from the beach in nothing but their swimming costumes.

In a bid to shake off a reputation as a city where anything goes there is now a ban on ‘nudity or virtual nudity in public places’.

Under the new rules those walking the streets in bikinis or trunks are liable for fines of up to 300 euros while those who go topless or naked face fines of up to 500 euros.
