A poll by holiday booking site lastminute.com found couples in Great Britain spend just 165 euros on minibreaks, whereas those in Spain spend 260 euros – which is even more than the notoriously amorous French.
They need to be more generous. We Brits are better looking. We believe in quality, not quantity, it isn’t necessary to spend money, in order to bowl a maiden over.
