Spanish designer invents luggage you do not need to carry

hop suitcase created by spanish designer

A SPANISH inventor has created a novel new suitcase that โ€“ unbelievably โ€“ requires zero carrying.

The โ€˜Hop!โ€™ suitcase, designed by Rodrigo Garcia Gonzalez, 28, follows travellers around the airport using the Bluetooth signal on their mobile phone.

A YouTube clip showing the prototype following its owner has already received over 250,000 views and Gonzalez has high hopes for the invention.

โ€œItโ€™s not working 100% and itโ€™s not ready for the market yet but itโ€™s something Iโ€™d like to develop,โ€ he said.

โ€œI think in the future itโ€™s something we could see often.โ€

Gonzalez picked up one of Spainโ€™s James Dyson Awards for the design and has now moved to London to gather a team and funding for the project.
