Eight arrested in HUGE drug bust in Spain as 200 Guardia Civil officers swoop on Tarifa and Algeciras

CUFFED: One of the suspected drug traffickers who was arrested by police on Wednesday

A HUGE drug bust involving 200 Guardia Civil officers has been carried out this morning.

At least eight people were confirmed arrested, as police swooped on buildings in Tarifa and Algeciras.

The arrests are part of a new wide-ranging anti-drug trafficking operation in the Campo de Gibraltar.

In total a dozen properties were raided.

It comes as a separate incident saw one of the most notorious hash dealers in Algeciras also detained by police.

In this Policia Nacional raid, a 33-year-old man from Pajarete was imprisoned, after police seized 37kgs of the drug.

Officers also took €3,440 and two mobile phones.
