THE parents of a 16-year-old girl have been arrested in Valencia for attempting to force her into an arranged marriage in Pakistan.
The Policia Nacional detained a man, 50, and woman, 44, on human trafficking charges in relation to a forced marriage.
The teenager’s life- outside of school- was spent in total isolation imposed by her father and mother.

She was forbidden to interact with anybody and her mobile phone had been taken away.
The teen was closely monitored and was even subjected to assaults.
The Policia Nacional said she was in a situation of extreme vulnerability.
Investigations started after school officials alerted authorities that she was going to be sent back to Pakistan against her will to marry a man chosen by her parents.
The girl had told a teacher about her circumstances on April 22 and police confirmed her story.
The arrested parents were subsequently brought before a judge two days later, who granted them bail, but coupled with a distancing order.
The victim is under the protection of social services.
The police say they encourage teenagers not to stay silent and to report any episodes of abuse or coercion.
They added that youngsters can always ask their teachers for help in the first instance to ensure their safety.
