‘Hugger’ muggers arrested on the Costa Blanca after thieving expat’s €100,000 watch

TWO Romanians have been arrested in Benissa after they robbed a Dutch pensioner of his €100,000 watch.

The pair, a 19-year-old girl and a 27-year-old man, robbed the man in Calpe using the ‘hugging’ method.

The girl reportedly stroked the Dutch man’s arm affectionately meanwhile lifting his watch and doing a runner.

They were caught two days later in Benissa attempting the same trick, this time without success.
